Inner Stellar is a new series of paintings that honors a reaquaintance with one's ‘inner child.’ Each portrait depicts an individual surrounded by a forest of birch trees, as well as indications of memory and vision. Accompanied by biographical texts cowritten with each subject, the work grapples with the weight of intergenerational trauma, ancestral healing, and personal resilience. The paintings and texts will be ready for exhibition in 2024.
